Marti Oakley Doubles Down on Marty Prehn

Did Marti Oakley put Marty Prehn on the bench while she's still out playing the game?

A few months ago, I wrote an article about Marty Prehn's relationship with Marti Oakley, NASGA, and their affiliates Boomers Against Elder Abuse. It was very alarming to see that Oakley had interviewed Prehn and allowed him to spew outrageous lies about alleged abuse of his mother, when all the evidence proves that it was actually in Marty Prehn's care that his mother's health deteriorated until other family members stepped in and rescued her from his neglect.

Brief recap of her health: She was malnourished, thin, had fallen and was badly bruised when Prehn left her alone for the day. He even rationed her medicine because he didn't want to pay the deductable despite having control of the entire family fortune. 

After she went to live with her daughter, her health flourished, and she was well taken care of. Marty however, had nothing negative to say about how his sister and other family members were taking care of their mother UNTIL the money Marty had been greedily swindling was cut off from his grubby mits. That is the entire issue with Marty and his fake stories about his mothers abuse.

So, when I started looking into Oakley, I wondered why this woman wouldn't check into this story if she is such a wonderful advocate for such a notable cause. I won't rehash everything I wrote, but you can go back and read it here.

 

Oakley and her cohorts had every opportunity to right the wrong they did when they allowed Marty to take over their facebook pages and groups spreading his lies. Not just in his mothers case, but also in the case of Dr. Chism. Marty seems to glom on to stories for self made notoriety. It is apparent by reading this blog, the lengths Marty goes to with his demented stories and outright lies. He has slandered, harassed, libeled, and defamed numerous innocent people along his way. Now, just how effective is a spokes person for an Elder Abuse Organization when they don't verify stories? What are the recourses for innocent family members, maliciously slandered on her radio shows?  How reckless and ruthless is this woman, to pretend she is standing up against Elder Abuse, when she interviewed the abuser?

It is beyond appalling that Oakley chose to pretend to "bench" Marty by deleting a few posts he made, without offering an apology to the family members her platform slandered. She chose to completely ignore the entire situation, which she knew about, and hid. The discussion on LinkedIn was appalling to say the least.  And to add insult to injury, Marty is still re posting the NASGA and Boomers Against Elder Abuse Facebook updates and Oakley is boasting about her new radio shows. It is terrible journalism in my honest opinion, when people purport to be advocates, yet they aren't telling the listeners the truth. If you or your family has been viciously lied about by someone on Oakley's radio shows I hope you speak out. There is nothing admirable about an advocate who supports abusers.

Listed below is Oakley's bragging list of stations. Maybe people should call these stations and their advertisers to point out what type of programming they've decided to add:

Tampa, FL (102.1 FM and 1630 AM),

Las Vegas, NV (1520 AM and 107.1 FM),

Lancaster, PA (102.1 FM & 1640 AM),

Macon, GA (98.3 FM & 810 AM) and now

Boulder, CO (100.7 FM).

How's that whole ignore it and it'll go away thing working out Marti?
