Marty Prehn's "Year of the Mongoose"

As 2013 comes to a close I thought we should bid a fond farewell to "The Year of the Mongoose". Marty had great things in store for our country this past year. His plans were so incredible he proclaimed it the year of the mongoose - fighting crime, jailing siblings, freeing soldiers, blah blah blah. Looking back at these plans reveals what amounts to nothing but failure for a man who has never accomplished anything his entire life. 

Marty's marquee event for the year was going to be his own personal memorial service with self-eulogy - complete with a donated coffin - recapping his life story. The "I Need a Hero" extravaganza was to be his greatest event ever. Paula Deen was going to co-host this nationally televised and internationally streamed event to pay tribute to the greatest American since Ronald Reagan; Martin Erwin Prehn. All of Hollywood were to be in attendance with performances by Bette Midler, Debby Boone and Bob Seger.  This two day event (with hotel and 5 Star restaurant discounts for out of towners) would raise a cool $1,000,000. However, this star-studded gala was canceled when Marty couldn't come up with the $200 deposit to hold his high school auditorium.

Marty did do some groundbreaking civil rights activism during his year of mongoosing.  He managed to sneak into a video at a fundraiser that actor Danny Glover attended.  At least I think that was Marty. All you ever really see is the back of an enormous grey-haired guy eating.  I'd say that's some of his best work ever.  Bill Windsor would be proud.

Speaking of Windsor,  somewhere on the road to Mongoosapalooza we noticed that Marty had dropped the make-believe title of Lawless America's Regional Director from his long list of credits. Can't be sure if this title was stripped from him or, like the rodent Marty is, he jumped off that sinking ship. 

While Marty continues to vow prison terms for everyone who has ever looked cross-eyed at him (mostly his siblings and people who read this blog), the only incarceration we know of is Marty Jr who as of this writing sits in a county jail.  The charge doesn't really matter, as his rap sheet is longer than this article. All of his other nemeses are either at large or unaware of his top secret pending charges.

2013 brought sadness to many who lost a loved one. This, however, was a record year for Marty to crash post-funeral luncheons!  At last count, he scammed his way into at least 14 of such family gatherings, but only if food is provided to the mourners.

Looking back on the past year, Marty continues to evade that illusive J.O.B. word, but who cares? Marty's greatest accomplishment for 2013 would be continuing to milk Florence Iverson of her retirement money while seeking donations to his legal defense fund. Look forward to his "Save the Veteran's Living Legacy Cottage Fund" in 2014.

Marty Prehn's Failed Cash Cow - Dr James Chism

After a cursory look at available information it appears to me that some how Marty Prehn may have been the driving force behind this entire guardian debacle. There wasn't any horrific guardianship abuse case until Marty inserted himself and the Chism children needed a local big mouth. Did Marty Prehn convince the Chism siblings that if they disputed their fathers guardianship they could ultimately take control of his finances?

An excerpt from the Macomb Daily on 5/25/12 reads: 

Regarding the medical issues, Karen Chism says she was “doing what the doctors were telling her to do.”

Scott Bright, Karen Chism’s retained attorney, referred to the children’s campaign as, “Kids gone wild,” in a hearing last week in Macomb County Probate Court in Mount Clemens.

He further said the 1,700 supporters of their Facebook effort “swallowed their line hook, line and sinker.”

Where else have we witnessed this type of online attack?  Oh that's right - in another case Marty Prehn inserted his fat face - his mother's, where it has been proven that Marty stole both Bernice's savings and paltry social security checks!  By attacking the ones who were actually caring for the health and well being of his mother and falsely accusing them of what he himself was doing, he hoped to regain control and continued funding of his carefree lifestyle of eating everything in sight!  Now look at the same kind of evil attack, aimed at another innocent woman - Dr. Chism's wife, Karen:

Marty Prehn Apr 13 Oh where or where can Doc Chism be. Oh where oh we can he be? He was ruled to be of sound mind so why is he not set FREE? He is being held captive by an emotionally sick woman much like the situation in a movie starring Kathy Bates where she kept a reporter I believe drugged up and in her home away from the public and away from his family. Too bad Michigan no longer has the death penalty so that people who are financially exploited and are abused physically or emotionally can no longer fend for themselves and speak up out of fear by their captors."

Marty always has a financial motive. He was actually attempting to get permission to have Dr. Chism live with him and Marty (yes, that Marty Prehn), to be his paid caretaker!

The court wisely poo-pooed this idea. Marty lost the proposed gig and subsequently lost his mother's house to foreclosure. Now why would these devoted, caring and concerned children pawn their father off on a complete stranger who has zero history with this family?  Why wouldn't they want to take care of him? Just exactly who looked to financially benefit from being conservator of Dr. Chism? (This was the clinching factor for me, that the children would place their father with a complete stranger when he wanted to be with his wife and was deemed mentally capable of making this decision.)

The majority of the Chism children have sorted legal troubles. Here is just a Christmas Sampler of their troubles:

Laurie was caught running scam companies in what appears to have been defrauding hard working people as well as people looking for work. She was ordered to pay restitution and fines. Jimmy, Curt and Laurie all have or had child support arrearage troubles. Steven and Curt appear to have had criminal court issues from various misdeeds.  This behavior/history falls in line with Marty and the Chism children defending an application for a restraining order against them filed by Karen That is about the extent of Marty's involvement with Dr Chism's case, as Marty Prehn was not involved with any probate hearings. Marty appears to only be a very loud mouthpiece, who will launch online attacks to harass innocent people and in this case, he used the greed of the Chism children as well.

Dr. Chism is now home with his loving wife and taking care of himself and his finances. His wife Karen did nothing wrong as far as I see it. She did what any loving spouse would do under the circumstances in trying to liquidate an unused asset (his chiropractic practice) to help out with what looked like an uncertain medical future. This is not uncommon, and certainly nothing to scream fraud over.  It was a wise financial decision to preserve the value in a business that Dr. Chism could no longer service because of his health problems. Karen had no history of doing anything financially damaging to her husband and now wouldn't be the time to start. There are, however, damning court cases against the Chism children and their poor financial management. Trying to twist Karen's prudent decision into an attempt on her husbands life was not just reaching, it was malicious and cruel. Nothing in any reports I have seen show that Karen acted out of anything but love and compassion for her husband. (Side note: It is a fact that insurance companies often pressure people to make decisions for loved ones who are not showing improvement because they don't like indefinite hospital bills and this could be the case here.)

After all the reports, investigations, court hearings and wasted money fighting, there was not one thing to substantiate the claims by Marty Prehn or the Chism children that their father was being abused. Not one.

Dr. Chism seems to be yet another victim of Bad Advocate Abuse, lead by Marty Prehn, who has taken and continues to take every opportunity to slander and libel Karen Chism.  All other guardianship abuse advocates who reported this story through Marty's eyes should be ashamed of themselves.

And Marty? Since that caretaker gig didn't go down as he planned, he tried to cut his losses. He actually thinks he's going to sell his hateful Facebook page, "Saving the Life of Dr. Jim Chism" to either the Hallmark or Lifetime channels for movie rights, staring - you guessed it - Jennifer Love Hewitt as Laurie Chism.  Now that's some good fiction!

What's the recurring theme in allegations Elder Abuser Marty Prehn and the Chism children used in both of their cases:

 * Alleged Starvation

 * Alleged Murder/attempted murder

 * Alleged Poisoning

 * Alleged Greed by the good guys

 * Alleged Kidnapping

 * Alleged FBI, CIA, DOJ involvement.

Living Large: Marty Prehn Style!

How would you like to carelessly spend your days DOING NOTHING BUT EATING?

Forget about work. Forget about giving your son any semblance of guidance. Forget about paying bills, filing income taxes and all those other pesky details of a normal life. A typical day in Marty's life, by following his charges to his mother's bank account, unfolds as follows:

Day One:

Head out to his favorite restaurant called Dimitri's Family Dining and eat a family-sized breakfast and lunch.  Tell stories to owner for hours on end about how he and Ronald Reagan saved the world from the Klingons.

After his meal(s), he gases up the Mongoose Mobile and heads to his next stop: Duke's Liquor Store!

No one should drink on a less than full stomach, so it's a quick stop to pick up a snack at GS Pizza, (before hitting the drive through at Burger King) and it's back to his mother's house in time to watch Ellen DeGeneres and send fan mail.

After getting the voicemail of every Detroit media personality on his T-Mobile Deluxe cellphone, it's time to head out for dinner. Yep. You guessed it. Back to Dimitri's, followed by another visit to GS Pizza and Burger King.

Day Two:

See Day One.

Bank records show that Marty ate at Dimitri's an average of 1 1/2 times a day and as many as FIVE TIMES A DAY!

The records we reviewed are nothing short of amazing. Just a quick overview:

84 visits to Dimitri's

27 visits to Burger King

17 visits to McDonalds

12 visits to GS Pizzaria  

That's not all but I think you get the idea. The fact that Marty could spend this much time eating and still get his job done at the FBI, CIA, and the DOJ is truly an incredible feat. 

We can only assume his evenings are equally disgusting in his mothers bathroom...

What's up with Marti Oakley, her "Truth Squad", NASGA, and theirsupport of Marty Prehn?

We're going to bifurcate from the endless adventures of Marty Prehn for just a moment to discuss one of his...who are we kidding.. his only media contact named Marti Oakley, who works with the group National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse (NASGA). One of their other names is Boomers Against Elder Abuse (BAEA).

Marti Oakley works with the group who's main name is National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse “NASGA.” One of their other names is “Boomers Against Elder Abuse” BAEA. Marti produces an internet talk show called “Truth Squad.” In looking at the words, “Truth Squad” one would think the focus would be on “Truth.”  Seems pretty cut and dry, but upon further investigations perhaps Marti Oakley's definition of “Truth” differs a great deal from actual “Truth.” NASGA proudly promotes their relationship with Oakley. A quote on one of their numerous web pages says, NASGA is very pleased to know and affiliate with Marti Oakley, host of the “T.S.Radio” internet talk program and author of “The PPJ Gazette” Blog. On the bottom of the page they say, “Note: We post the weekly T.S. Shows on the NASGA blog. On the blog, do a search for T.S. Radio, and then click the “listen live” link which, after the show has aired will take you to the archive.”

Recently a group called “TeamX,” put together a very compelling video about Marty Prehn and focused on court documents available on the PACER website, that no one, up until this point had bothered to view. Not even Marti Oakley. Marty Prehn's story is a complete fabrication of the factual events that took place and led to him being exposed as an abuser of his elderly mother.

Here are just a few of those blatant fabrications, that had Marti Oakley cared enough to research, could have saved herself, NASGA, BAEA and others a lot of embarrassment.

1. Marty claims the CO court ignored his mothers will. He never submitted the will & was even held in contempt for not producing it. 

2. Marty claimed he requested a mental exam for his mother. His siblings are the ones who requested the exam. 

3. Marty claimed Mrs Prehn's signature was forged on documents. The signature matched previous signatures by Mrs Prehn. It didn't match the appearance of her signature while under Martys care. This is because Marty kept his mother over sedated so she would sleep all day while he left her alone. 

After being alerted to the Team X video by a fellow NASGA member in a LinkedIn conversation, the comments by Oakley were extremely concerning. How can some of the main mouth pieces for a group, just minimize, downplay, and outright ignore the abuse of an elder, when faced with some very compelling information? Contradicting Oakley's own PPJ Gazette motto, "In the age of information....Ignorance is a choice.”

 “Probably from the site that hates him so much. But even so, why would you waste your valuable time doing something like this? Stuff like this discredits all of us who are working so hard to change things. I would suggest keeping an eye on it, but don't forward it or pass it around and get your name associated with it. Just my thoughts.”

Ok Marti, here it goes. There is nothing truthful about your “Truth Squad” that I can see.  Let me answer some of your questions, which is more than you do. Why waste valuable time? Let me explain. Because people like you that pretend to bring it real, only focus on buzz and hype. If you were anything about “truth” you would have made sure the story you were going to report was true. How is researching court documents a waste of time? Waste of your time perhaps, but not ours. Using your own words, you are ignorant. “Stuff like this discredits you”? Well DUH. You chose to interview Marty Prehn without researching his story. You discredited yourself, and you also linked NASGA and all affiliated names (BAEA etc) in with you.

You would rather sweep this connection under the rug, than lift it up and expose the dirty little secrets about abusers, that you pretend you are against. The fact that you knowingly chose to delete the very thread these comments were posted on, is proof of just how sick you are, and how low you are willing to go to hide the “TRUTH” from being exposed. Marti Oakley, your actions speak louder than the words you typed, although they are pretty loud too.

IF we don't, these people get bored need their negative “fix” and will move on to someone else to attack. Don't give them any fuel for their cannons. The last thing we need is to get sucked into something we can do nothing about......but we also don't want to be tagged as having been part of the attack. Having been the target of more than one of these attacks by a person that I consider to be somewhat running short of brain bricks, I simply refused to respond......eventually......the attacker is left out there twisting on that rope that you speak of and they have no one to blame but themselves. If anyone is going to be tagged an a## let it be them.....not you.”

The first part of this is the most disgusting. Do not do anything if they are telling the truth. They will just go away. The truth will not go away Oakley. Since when is telling the truth, a negative fix? When is telling the truth an “attack?” Marti, you are tagged whether you like it or not. You say this “stuff” only works if you agree to participate. You did participate, you interviewed a liar, who you gladly allowed to use your “Truth Squad” platform to further promote his lies. This is not an attack as you call it, this what advocates/activists are supposed to do. Call people out, when they aren't being honest. Put a stop to further abuses, which you seem to state you are against, yet you support. No, what you mean is that you don't want to do anything because you are trying so hard to sweep your own ignorance under the rug. You did not do your due diligence. By your choice.  

Speaking of sweeping this under the rug, seems your team of abuser protectors will also put protecting themselves over protecting the public from abusers.

Really Marcia? You'll just delete the truth as well? Why? What are you so afraid of? The TRUTH? What a disgusting group to be affiliated with, when they would rather hide the truth, instead of admitting they were not diligent in their investigations of a story they so proudly promoted? Oakley, you are very transparent. You may have deleted the thread, but you can't delete the past/present. Your support of the liar/elder abuser/con man Marty Prehn has been documented. I suggest you not sweep this further under the rug. The truth will always surface no matter how far you think you've swept it. Such a dirty little mess you could have cleaned up easily, but chose not to. Not once, not twice, but numerous times.  It would appear that the “Truth Squad” has been exposed, and in this particular case is the Fraud Squad.

In wanting to promote the truth, we encourage everyone to listen to the Marti Oakley interview with Marty Prehn, then compare it to the court documents on Pacer. This is simple due diligence that any activist/advocate should do to make sure they are presenting factual information to the public.

“You have to get educated, that there are despicable people like that.”

“Desperately evil and wicked.”

“They do not want to be exposed doing the criminal things I believe they are doing.”

“The way to expose this, is we have to get the media attention.”

“The word is getting out there, we just have to get more than a handful of people to say that this is a problem.”

AMEN! Thank you Team X, The Chronicles of Marty, and everyone who understands when there are bad advocates out there, they make it twice as hard to achieve Justice for the rest.

Marty Prehn's World of Real Estate Woes

How would you like to own a lake access cottage in northern Michigan for only $873.64?

Marty Prehn is once again, looking a gift horse square in the mouth, and we're not talking about Helen Childers this time.

Having inherited free of all encumbrances, his parents lake access cottage appears to be heading to the same fate as his late mother's house due to Marty's complete disregard of his responsibilities.  You may recall that while under Marty's control of her finances, he neglected to pay the property taxes on his mother's home for two years, ultimately resulting in a tax foreclosure.  This was the primary residence that his parents bought, maintained and allowed their good-for-nothing son to live rent free in.  It went to the tax man for a mere $582.33 before the sheriff kicked him to the curb. 

To Marty's credit, he did the only thing he's good at in an attempt to save the ol' homestead - beg for money!

His benefactor last time was Florence "Take my Money" Iverson, who sent Marty $600 through his Legal Defense Fund scam.  However, being the financial wizard that he is, Marty used this act of charity for other purposes - likely junk food.

If history is any predictor of future behavior, you may deduce that:

A) Marty will hit Flo up for an extra $900 to his existing monthly stipend.

B) Marty will eat it.

C) Marty will lose his inheritance to tax foreclosure.

Marty cons Marti!

Having been completely ignored by the Detroit and national media, Marty Prehn has found a little known (and little listened to) internet radio host named Marti Oakley, who has a broadcast ironically enough called "The Truth Squad".  Marty Prehn is a recurring guest interviewee.

Apparently, Oakley frequently provides a platform for a group called NASGA - The National Association to Stop Guardian Abuse, an admirable enough cause.  I can see how such an organization with little funding would enjoy having any publicity, as long as it coincided with their mission.  

That's where things get dicey. 

There is compelling evidence presented by this and other blogs that Marty Prehn is not what he claims to be.  In fact, he is quite the opposite.  He abused his late mother financially, physically and emotionally. Documents available online for anyone, including Marti Oakley and NASGA, are accessible at Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), a website often utilized by real journalists everywhere.

Had Oakley done her due diligence before turning the microphone over to Marty, she never would have permitted his claims of his mother's mental health when with her daughter, the existence of records that Marty was held in contempt for not providing to the court and about a dozen other crazy assertions.  I do not know of Marty's relationship to NASGA, but their website leads me to believe that it's members pay dues and make cash donations, as they are a 501(c)3.  

Readers: We all know that Marty doesn't pay for anything. Ever!

Marty Prehn: Get a job, you bum, and quit scamming people.

NASGA: Do you really want Marty to represent your organization when he not only doesn't pay his dues, but regularly cites your organization as being called "NASAGA" and has a documented history of abusing the very people you advocate for? 

Marti Oakley: Would you like to rename your show to... umm... gee, I don't know, "The Scam Squad"?

Who is Marty Prehn?

Thanks to contributors and commentators, we've determined that Marty Prehn is a person who financially abuses people, including his late parents.

We've determined that he is a serial liar and attention hound, claiming to have been a trusted advisor to Ronald Reagan, trainer to Sylvester Stallone for Rocky, friend and ambassador to various levels of federal, state and local governments. A Special Agent for the FBI and CIA, a bodyguard to enemies of Islam and an activist for black civil rights.  He regularly rubs elbows with news reporters, anchors and producers in every form of media.  Is frequently "in talks" with daytime and late night TV hosts on every network.  Being head of security for the Detroit Tiger's ball club at the tender age of 10, he is best buds with shamed pitcher Denny McLain.

If there is anyone in the public eye or victim of any social injustice, Marty Prehn is there, even if only to show up in photos to add to his collection of proof of his great importance.

How did this seemingly uneducated and relatively idiotic and unemployable man skyrocket to the very top of political and social circles?  Why is Marty Prehn on the "A List" for everyone who's anyone's holiday party this year?  He's apparently a huge hit on the local funeral scene

But who is Marty Prehn?  What was he like in school?  Does anyone remember working with him at JC Penney?  How many classes did he take at Bob Jones University and why did he get kicked out?  Has he ever flown an airplane other than the kiddie ride in front of Kmart?  Does he have a girlfriend? Does he have a boyfriend? Other than conning people for donations, does he have any respectable form of income?  Is his real-life persona as repulsive as his online presence?  Why do his victims and coconspirators believe him when every human instinct screams that he's either a complete fraud, mentally ill or both?
